Returning to Pinch after Mandated MFA

If you are returning from a Hiatus, you will notice that Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) is now mandatory to protect your user access.

We will go over how to set your MFA (also known as 2FA) up on your favourite Authentication apps so you can access Pinch. 

The next time you attempt to log into Pinch, you will be prompted to set up your secure MFA access. 

1. Setting up MFA 
Using one of our recommended or your own MFA application, follow the onscreen steps.

Once you have your Authenticator app ready, follow the on-screen app prompts to scan your QR Auth code. Or manually input the code that is displayed at the bottom of the above page.

This example is the Microsoft Authenticator App.

Once you select "Scan QR Code, " the camera tool will open, and you will scan the QR code on the Pinch webpage. This will then create the Authentication between the two, and you will be presented with a Dynamic 6-digit code.

2. Login using your newly configured MFA 

Head to the Merchant Portal and login. 
Open your authenticator and access the Pinch details. You will be presented with a 6-digit code to input into the

The "Trust this device" checkbox allows MFA to be only required every 14 days. 


Thats it! You now have MFA configured on your account.
