Sometimes Pinch encounters errors, or errors occur when actions go outside the bounds of normal user behavior. Below are some of the more common ones

ReCaptch Failure | "this product is unavailable at the moment. please contact support if this continues." | The payer's web browser or device has failed the recaptcha bot/spam checker, possibly due to old hardware, out-of-date software, or the presence of a VPN. | Use a different device or web-browser. Technical Error | "Dishonoured with reason: Technical Error" | Likely caused by one of our downstream or upstream providers encountering an issue. This also included when bank account are unable to be debited (think savings accounts that don't allow direct debit) | Raise a support request. This can only be fixed by a Pinch Technical team member |
System Error | "No default payment source was found and no payment details given." | The connection between the front end system (Merchant Portal) and our internal admin system has been disjointed | Raise a support request. This can only be fixed by a Pinch Technical team member |
Duplicate Payment Protection (Locked) | "This payment has already been processed. If you're not sure if this payment was successful, please contact support." | The system has detected, or caught a potential duplicate payment attempt, and to avoid double charges has locked this payment | Raise a support request. This can only be fixed by a Pinch Technical team member |
Payment Exceeds Limit | "It's not you, its us..." | The size of payment you are attempting to process exceeds one of the Amex limits imposed on your account | Try a different payment method |
