Removing information for security purposes
Information about what we do with data and how to request it be removed
We understand that privacy matters. Here's what to know if you’re looking to have your data removed from the Pinch system.
If you're a Customer or Payer (not a Pinch merchant):
Pinch processes payments on behalf of businesses using their Accounting platforms like Xero, QuickBooks, or MYOB. These businesses control your data, and in most cases, your information is automatically synced from their accounting software.
To request data removal:

Contact the business that invoiced you directly.

If you’ve already done that but need assistance, Submit this Support Request Form.

Please include evidence of your attempt to contact the business (e.g. an email screenshot or message thread).
Note: If your data remains active in their system, it may sync back to us again after removal.
If you're a Pinch Merchant:
To request permanent deletion of your Pinch account and associated data, please Submit this Support Request Form with your request.
We’ll confirm important information and guide you through the process.
How Pinch Stores Data:
Pinch does not store payment data locally. All sensitive data is securely stored using Microsoft’s Australian data centres in Melbourne and Sydney. Please note, these data centres may use international facilities for backup and continuity purposes, which is managed by Microsoft and outside our control..
