Public Holidays - Processing and Settlement Delays

Deposits to your nominated account are operated via the same rail as your Direct Debits ; this means money is transferred Mon-Fri, and is impacted by certain non-trading days

List of events that may delay settlement times:

  • Australian National Public Holidays - These will always delay settlements by an equal number of days.
  • Australian State Public Holidays - Only affect settlement times if they occur in Victoria, Australia. All other states won't be affected.
  • Internation Holidays - Will only affect settlements if the destination bank doesn't process deposits during this time. Note that international clients currently experience the same delays as Australian accounts, even if the Holiday doesn't apply to their region*

List of events that may delay processing times:

  • If your Bank Account Direct Debit occurs on a Sat-Sun, these will be processed on the next available business day (Monday) unless this falls on a Public Holiday which will be delayed until the next available business day. This does not affect Card processing, which is operated 24/7 Mon-Sun.
  • All National Public Holidays, or Victorian Public Holidays will affect Bank Account processing times, and will delay processing by an equal number of days. If the Public Holiday falls on a Friday, processing will resume from Monday.

Important to Note:

  • It's your responsibility to forecast these delays, as Pinch cannot fast-track settlements that have been delayed for genuine reasons such as Public Holidays.
